Brooklyn Museum...Fred Tomaselli...beautiful work.

So we showed up to the museum and we found out the the
artist was giving a lecture in an hour and so we got to hear
Fred Tomaselli talk about each of the pieces. They are cut
outs of paper images and drugs poured into layers of resin.
It is all about creating a visual out-of-body experience rather
than a mental one through actually consuming the drugs.
There are a lot of deeper connotations as well, but I thought
it was brilliant and these pieces were stunning in person.
Unfortunately pictures don't do them justice.

last few hours in the park..

I ran into these musicians three times in the same day, all
at different places, all day. Talk about dedication.

Also I feel like the picture of the bubble is a representation
of my experience in New York City- too much to handle at once,
but very beautiful.
